Who supportive housing is for
Outpatient treatment works best when the place you sleep supports the work you are doing during the day. Supportive housing puts a stable, sober home under your recovery. It may be the right fit if any of these sound like you:
- Your current living situation makes staying sober harder, not easier
- You are starting PHP or IOP and need a stable, substance-free place to live
- You are leaving residential treatment or detox and are not ready to live alone
- You are rebuilding the basics: work, savings, routines, and healthy habits
- You want structure and accountability at home, not just during treatment hours

How housing and treatment fit together
One plan covers where you live and how you heal.
We assess both needs at once
Your intake covers your clinical needs and your living situation in the same conversation. If stable housing is part of what recovery requires, we say so and start arranging it right away.
We place you with a trusted partner
We work with established sober living and supportive housing partners in the greater Los Angeles area, including Brittany's House. You get a furnished, substance-free home with house structure and people who understand recovery.
Days in treatment, evenings at home
You attend PHP, IOP, or outpatient sessions at our Glendora center during the day, then return to a home where sobriety is the norm. Treatment and housing teams stay in contact so nothing falls through the cracks.
Move toward your own place
Stays often run 6 to 18 months, and the goal is independence. Case managers work with you on employment, savings, benefits, and a long-term housing plan, so leaving is a step up, not a leap of faith.

Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers to the questions we hear most. Anything else? Call us, day or night.
What is the difference between sober living and supportive housing?
They overlap. Sober living is a substance-free group home with structure and accountability. Supportive housing adds wraparound services on top: case management, life skills classes, benefits help, and employment support. Our housing partners provide both sides.
Is the housing part of Glendora Recovery Center itself?
Treatment happens at our Glendora center; housing is provided through trusted sober living partners we work with closely, including Brittany's House. We coordinate the two so your clinical team and your house team stay on the same page.
Do I have to be in treatment to live in supportive housing?
Housing through our program is designed to pair with active treatment, whether that is PHP, IOP, or outpatient care with us. Living sober and doing the clinical work at the same time is exactly what makes this combination strong.
How long can I stay?
Stays are individualized and often run 6 to 18 months. Rather than a countdown, there is a plan: as work, savings, and stability grow, you and your case manager map the move to a place of your own.
What are the house rules like?
Homes are completely substance-free, and residents are expected to participate in treatment, contribute to the household, and respect the community. Structure is the point: it is what makes the house feel safe for everyone in it.
How do I find out about cost and availability?
