Anxiety Treatment

Everyone worries. But when worry runs your days, steals your sleep, and shrinks your world, that is anxiety, and it responds to treatment. Warm, evidence-based care in Glendora, for adults, in English and Spanish.

What anxiety can look like

Anxiety wears many faces. If several of these have become your normal, it is worth talking to someone.

In your body

  • Racing heart, shortness of breath, or panic attacks
  • Trouble falling or staying asleep
  • Muscle tension, headaches, or stomach trouble
  • Feeling restless, keyed up, or on edge

In your mind

  • Worry that will not switch off, even when things are fine
  • Trouble concentrating or a mind that goes blank
  • A sense of dread without a clear reason
  • Replaying conversations and expecting the worst

In your life

  • Avoiding places, people, or situations
  • Canceling plans and falling behind at school or work
  • Using alcohol or other substances to calm down
  • Relationships strained by irritability or withdrawal

How we treat anxiety

We treat generalized anxiety, social anxiety, panic, and anxiety that shows up alongside depression, trauma, or substance use. Therapies include CBT, DBT, mindfulness and grounding skills, art therapy, and group support, in the level of care that fits your life. Our mental health program meets in the afternoons.

If you are in crisis right now, do not wait for an appointment. Call or text 988 (the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline) anytime, or call 911 in an emergency. Then call us when you are safe, and we will help with what comes next.

Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers to the questions we hear most. Anything else? Call us, day or night.

When is it time to get help for anxiety?

When it starts running your decisions: what you avoid, how you sleep, how you work, who you see. You do not have to wait for a crisis or a panic attack. If anxiety is shrinking your life, that is reason enough to call.

Can anxiety be cured?

There is no switch that turns anxiety off, and anyone promising a cure is overselling. What treatment does is change your relationship with anxiety: your body learns to settle, your mind learns new responses, and most people feel significantly better with consistent care.

What therapies do you use?

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), mindfulness and grounding skills, art therapy, and group support, in individual and group formats. Your plan is built around what actually helps you.

What if I have been using alcohol or something else to cope?

That is one of the most common ways anxiety shows up, and there is no shame in it here. We are a dual diagnosis center, so we treat the anxiety and the substance use together instead of bouncing you between providers.

Does insurance cover anxiety treatment?

Most major PPO and HMO plans cover mental health treatment. We verify your benefits for free, with no obligation. We do not accept Medi-Cal at this time.

What if I am in crisis right now?

Please do not wait. Call or text 988, the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, anytime, or call 911 if you are in immediate danger. When you are safe, call us at (626) 594-0881 and we will help you plan ongoing care.

You do not have to do this alone.
