PTSD Treatment
When your mind and body keep reliving something that is over, that is not weakness. It is PTSD, and it responds to treatment. Trauma-informed outpatient care in Glendora, at your pace, in English and Spanish.
What PTSD can look like
PTSD can follow one event or many: assault, an accident, abuse, loss, combat. You do not need a formal diagnosis to reach out.
Reliving it
- Intrusive memories that arrive uninvited
- Nightmares or restless, fearful sleep
- Flashbacks that feel like it is happening again
- Intense reactions to sounds, places, or dates that remind you
Always on guard
- Feeling on edge, scanning for danger
- Startling easily at ordinary things
- Irritability or bursts of anger that surprise you
- Trouble sleeping or concentrating
Pulling away
- Avoiding people, places, or topics connected to it
- Feeling numb, detached, or far from the people you love
- Guilt, shame, or blaming yourself for what happened
- Believing the world, or you, will never be safe again
- Using alcohol or other substances to get through the day or night
How we treat PTSD
We use trauma-focused therapies with real evidence behind them: trauma-focused CBT, DBT skills for intense emotions, grounding techniques for flashbacks, and art therapy for what words cannot reach yet. You set the pace. You are never forced to retell details before you are ready. Our mental health program meets in the afternoons.

Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers to the questions we hear most. Anything else? Call us, day or night.
Will I have to talk about the trauma in detail?
Not before you are ready, and with some approaches, not at all. Art therapy and grounding work, for example, do much of their work without you narrating every detail out loud. The first phase of trauma work is always safety and stabilization, not retelling.
What does trauma treatment here look like?
It starts with stabilization: coping skills, grounding techniques for flashbacks, and a real sense of safety with your therapist. Only then, and only at your pace, do you work on the memories themselves, using trauma-focused CBT and DBT skills for the emotions that come with them.
Does PTSD ever go away?
No honest provider promises a cure, but PTSD is very treatable. With trauma-focused therapy, many people find the memories stop hijacking their days: still part of their story, no longer in charge of it. Treatment is about getting your present back.
What if I have been drinking or using to cope?
That is one of the most common responses to trauma, and there is no judgment for it here. We are a dual diagnosis center, so we treat the PTSD and the substance use together. Treating one while ignoring the other is how relapse happens.
Does insurance cover PTSD treatment?
Most major PPO and HMO plans cover mental health treatment. We verify your benefits for free, with no obligation. We do not accept Medi-Cal at this time.
