Depression Treatment
Depression is more than sadness. It is a fog that drains your energy, your interest, and your hope. It is also one of the most treatable conditions we see. Warm, evidence-based care in Glendora, for adults, in English and Spanish.
What depression can look like
Depression is not weakness or a character flaw. If several of these have lasted more than two weeks, it is time to talk to someone.
In your mood
- Persistent sadness, emptiness, or hopelessness
- Losing interest in things you used to enjoy
- Guilt or feeling worthless without a clear reason
- Trouble concentrating or making small decisions
- Thoughts of death or self-harm
In your body
- Exhaustion that sleep does not fix
- Sleeping too much or barely at all
- Appetite or weight changes in either direction
- Aches, headaches, or stomach trouble with no clear cause
In your life
- Falling behind at work or school
- Pulling away from family and friends
- Irritability and a shorter fuse than usual
- Using alcohol or other substances to feel less

Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers to the questions we hear most. Anything else? Call us, day or night.
How do I know it is depression and not just a rough patch?
Rough patches lift as circumstances change. Depression settles in: most days, for two weeks or more, it colors everything regardless of what is happening around you. If you are asking the question, that is reason enough to call. An assessment costs nothing and clears things up.
Can depression be cured?
No honest provider promises a cure. What we can say is that depression is one of the most treatable mental health conditions, and most people feel significantly better with consistent, evidence-based care. Treatment also teaches you to spot the early signs so a bad week does not become a bad season.
Do I need medication for depression?
Not always. Many people do well with therapy alone, and for others medication is a real help. We do not prescribe on site: if medication belongs in your plan, we coordinate closely with your prescriber, or help you connect with one, and support you along the way.
What if I have been drinking or using to get through it?
That is one of the most common ways depression shows up, and there is no shame in it here. We are a dual diagnosis center, so we treat the depression and the substance use together instead of bouncing you between providers.
Does insurance cover depression treatment?
Most major PPO and HMO plans cover mental health treatment. We verify your benefits for free, with no obligation. We do not accept Medi-Cal at this time.
What if I am having thoughts of suicide right now?
Please do not wait. Call or text 988, the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, anytime, or call 911 if you are in immediate danger. When you are safe, call us at (626) 594-0881 and we will help you plan ongoing care.
You do not have to do this alone.
