Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers about treatment, insurance, privacy, and getting started. If your question is not here, call us anytime. A real person answers 24/7.

Programs & treatment

What we treat, how the levels of care work, and what a day here looks like.

What addictions does Glendora Recovery Center treat?

Alcohol and drug addiction across the board, including cocaine, methamphetamine, fentanyl, heroin, crack, benzodiazepines, Xanax, Valium, Suboxone, PCP, MDMA, marijuana, and prescription opioids. We also treat co-occurring mental health conditions like anxiety, depression, PTSD, and bipolar disorder alongside the substance use.

What programs do you offer?

Three outpatient levels of care: PHP (Partial Hospitalization), IOP (Intensive Outpatient), and Outpatient, plus dual diagnosis care, aftercare, and court-approved programs. One clinical team carries you through the whole continuum.

Which program is right for me?

PHP is the most structured: several hours a day, up to five days a week, typically 30 to 90 days, individualized. IOP is a step lighter, with day, evening, and weekend schedules that fit around work and school. Outpatient is weekly therapy to protect your progress. You do not have to choose alone: the intake assessment matches you to the right level.

Do you provide medical detox?

No. We are an outpatient center and do not provide detox on site. If you need medical detox first, we help coordinate it with a trusted facility, then welcome you into our program the moment you are ready, with no gap in care.

What does a typical day look like?

Structured, but personal. Most days combine individual therapy, small group sessions, and skill-building like relapse prevention, plus therapies such as art or yoga when they are in your plan. Then you go home and sleep in your own bed.

What happens after treatment ends?

You step into aftercare, not off a cliff. That means continued counseling, 12-step support, our alumni community, and random testing when accountability helps. Recovery support does not stop at discharge.

Insurance & cost

What treatment costs, what your plan covers, and how to find out for free.

What insurance do you accept?

Most major PPO and HMO plans, including Aetna, Cigna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Anthem, and UnitedHealthcare. We do not accept Medi-Cal at this time.

How does insurance verification work?

You give us your basic plan details, by phone or through our online form, and we check your benefits directly with your insurer, usually within minutes. Then a real person explains what is covered in plain language. It is free, confidential, and carries no obligation.

What if I do not have insurance?

Call us anyway. Cash pay rates are available on request, and we will be honest with you about costs and options before you commit to anything.

Does verifying my insurance commit me to treatment?

No. Verification is information, not a commitment. After we explain your coverage, you decide what happens next: treatment, more questions, or nothing at all.

Confidentiality & privacy

Who can know, who cannot, and the federal law that protects you.

Is treatment really confidential?

Yes. Your records are protected by federal confidentiality law, 42 CFR Part 2, and HIPAA. That protection is stricter than ordinary medical privacy: we cannot share that you are in treatment without your written consent, with narrow legal exceptions like a medical emergency.

Will my employer find out?

Not from us. We do not contact employers, and your insurance communication happens between us, your insurer, and you. Many clients complete evening or weekend IOP without anyone at work ever knowing.

What about court-ordered treatment records?

We report exactly what the court requires, such as enrollment, attendance, and progress, and nothing more, to no one else. The rest of what you share in treatment stays protected under 42 CFR Part 2, just like every other client.

Schedules, visiting & location

Hours, suites, parking, and fitting treatment around your life.

What are your hours?

Monday to Friday 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Saturday 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and Sunday by appointment. The admissions line is answered 24/7 at (626) 594-0881.

Where are you located?

At 1340 E. Route 66, Glendora, CA 91740, near Foothill Presbyterian Hospital. Check in at Suite 103. Parking is available on site.

Can I keep working or going to school during treatment?

That is the point of outpatient care. IOP runs day, evening, and weekend schedules, and outpatient is lighter still. PHP runs during the day, and we plan around it together.

Can my family visit me during treatment?

You live at home during outpatient treatment, so there are no visiting hours to worry about. Family joins treatment in a better way: scheduled family therapy sessions and family education. Loved ones are also welcome to tour the center with you.

I do not have reliable transportation. Can I still attend?

Tell us when you call. Between schedule choices, carpool ideas, and virtual options when clinically appropriate, transportation problems are usually solvable. Do not let a ride be the reason you wait.

Getting started

The first call, the first day, and helping someone you love.

What is the intake process?

Four steps: call us anytime at (626) 594-0881, we verify your insurance for free, you complete a private clinical assessment, and you start treatment, often the same day. The whole path can take hours, not weeks.

Can I really start the same day?

Often, yes. If you call in the morning and the assessment supports it, you can begin that afternoon. When someone is ready for help, we do not believe in waitlists.

What should I bring on my first day?

A photo ID, your insurance card, a list of current medications, any court paperwork if it applies, and comfortable clothes. And your questions: ask every one.

How do I help a loved one who does not want help?

Call us. We will help you understand the options, plan the conversation, and get everything ready for the moment they say yes. You cannot force an adult into treatment, but you do not have to carry this alone either.
