Alternative Sentencing: How Do We Help in It?

Alternative Sentencing

Alternative Sentencing

Crimes committed due to drug & alcohol abuse are on the increase. We need to note that crimes have also increased with all the technological advancements. Time and again, we hear about drugs being involved in one way or another in most of them. It can be attributed to the fact that most crimes are committed by desperate people who turn to drugs due to their inability to lead regular lives. Thus, there is a dire need for alternative sentencing so that people can start their new & sober life.

In many cases, authorities order alternative sentencing instead of imprisonment, which brings a more effective impact on individuals’ lives. However, before we dive into how Glendora Recovery Center helps in this process, let’s look at some statistics.

What do the latest arrest due to drugs statistics look like?

According to the FBI reports, authorities made 1,558,862 arrests for drug abuse violations in 2019. In addition, 1,024,508 people got arrested in the same year for driving under alcohol influence. These numbers are growing, and there is a severe need for this program to break the chain of substance abuse. On this note, let’s explore how we help in better recovery.

Alternative Sentencing

How do we help with alternative sentencing?

We follow all court orders

We follow all court orders to provide the best treatment. We make it our duty to take full responsibility for these individuals and help them in their recovery journey.

Prominent drug addiction treatment

When individuals come into our centers, they must become entirely drug-free so that they can get back to leading an everyday life. We have specialized addiction experts who look after every individual to ensure that they recover completely from drugs & alcohol before being discharged from the center. This way, these people will not feel the need or urge to relapse into substance abuse, which helps them stay sober for longer periods.

Effective alternative sentencing

There are cases where people end up feeling guilty and do not want to go to prison. Individuals and their families must help them stay out of prisons by providing alternative sentencing. We work with their families to ensure that the process goes smoothly within a stipulated time frame.

Reintegration & family counseling

Once individuals finish rehabilitating, they need to reintegrate back into society as responsible citizens as soon as possible. Taking this further, we provide counseling that helps our clients become productive members of their respective communities without getting back to substance abuse again. This way, they can lead everyday lives just like any other individual and give an account of themselves at all times.

How do we help individuals get started?

We have worked with multiple people mandated for this process through courts. They did not know about the process and came to us completely unaware of what would happen. We took charge from the beginning by helping them get the paperwork done before they were released into our care. These individuals were supervised during the entire process by our counselors, therapists & advisers, ensuring constant progress towards recovery.

Our team helps these individuals get work permits if required, obtain birth certificates or social security cards, pay fines, etc. Then, once they completed their treatment program successfully, we handed them over to authorities after ensuring they had gotten a foothold in life again.
