At Glendora Recovery Center, no week is the same. Our treatment team creates and plans activities and events to help make your healing journey fun and enjoyable. It is a chance for clients and alumni to try new things, share experiences and explore new interests. Everything we plan has an underlying evidence based therapeutic methodology.
Reconnect with nature and yourself through our guided hiking groups. These therapeutic excursions combine physical activity with mindfulness practices as we explore local trails, fostering both personal reflection and group bonding in the healing backdrop of natural surroundings.
Experience the unique emotional connection that develops between humans and horses. Our equine therapy sessions help clients build trust, improve communication skills, and develop emotional awareness through guided interactions with these perceptive animals.
At Glendora Recovery Center, we integrate filmmaking as an experiential therapeutic intervention within our Intensive Outpatient Program to support clients navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, and substance use. Through scripting, directing, performing, and editing their own short films, clients engage in a creative process that externalizes emotional experiences and allows them to reconstruct meaning from their narratives. This approach helps clients move beyond traditional talk therapy by activating sensory, symbolic, and relational dimensions of healing. It empowers them not only to tell their stories but to author and reshape them with agency and perspective. Filmmaking sessions foster collaboration, emotional integration, and a safe space for embodied storytelling, offering an innovative pathway for clients whose healing extends beyond words.
